Terms of Use

By using SriLankaTravel.ai (the “service”) you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. These terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

SriLankaTravel.ai generates suggested travel itineraries for Sri Lanka using AI, combined with our own routing logic, seasonal data, and editorial research. We also publish destination guides, monthly travel conditions, and downloadable itinerary guides.

We are a planning tool, not a travel agency. We do not sell flights, accommodation, tours, or transport. We do not act as your agent, and we do not hold client money for travel arrangements. Any booking you make is a direct contract between you and that provider.

Itineraries are suggestions produced from the inputs you provide. They are a starting point for your own planning and verification, and they can contain errors or omissions.

Before you travel, independently verify:

• Opening hours, closures, entry fees, and ticketing rules for any site.
• Road conditions, journey times, and transport availability.
• Weather and sea conditions, which vary year to year regardless of the seasonal averages we publish.
• Visa, entry, health, and vaccination requirements for your nationality, via official government sources.
• Current safety and travel advisories from your own government.
• Religious and cultural site requirements, including dress codes and photography rules.

Prices, distances, and durations shown in a plan are estimates. Nothing in a generated itinerary constitutes medical, legal, financial, visa, or safety advice.

• You are responsible for your own travel decisions, bookings, and safety.
• You must have adequate travel insurance appropriate to the activities you plan.
• You must provide accurate planning inputs; a plan built on inaccurate inputs will be unsuitable.
• You are responsible for complying with the laws, customs, and entry requirements of Sri Lanka and any country you travel through.

You agree not to:

• Scrape, bulk-download, or systematically extract content, or use automated tools against the service beyond normal browsing.
• Resell, republish, or redistribute our content or generated plans as your own product.
• Use the service to generate content that is unlawful, deceptive, abusive, or harmful.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, access controls, payment flows, or security measures.
• Interfere with the operation of the service or the experience of other users.

We may suspend or restrict access where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached.

We save your generated itinerary so you can return to it via its link. Anyone with that link can view the trip — treat it as shareable but not private, and do not put sensitive information into free-text fields.

We aim to keep saved trips available but do not guarantee indefinite retention or uninterrupted access. Export or save anything you rely on. Retention periods are set out in our Privacy Policy.

Paid downloadable guides are processed through PayPal. Prices are shown at checkout and include any applicable taxes where required.

Guides are delivered digitally, typically immediately after payment via a download link. If delivery fails or the link does not work, contact us and we will resolve it or refund you.

Refunds. Because guides are digital products delivered instantly, we offer refunds where the product was not delivered, was materially not as described, or was purchased in duplicate by mistake. Requests should be made within 14 days of purchase to hello@srilankatravel.ai. Statutory rights that apply in your country are not affected by this clause.

The site, its design, written content, guides, and underlying logic are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright. Imagery may be licensed from third parties, including Unsplash, under their respective licences.

Your itinerary. You may use, print, adapt, and share the itinerary generated for you for your own personal travel planning. You may not sell it, or use our content to build or train a competing product or dataset, without written permission.

The service links to third-party websites, maps, and providers. We do not control them, do not endorse them by linking, and are not responsible for their content, availability, pricing, or conduct. Any dealings with them are solely between you and that party.

We provide the service on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it, including free features, at any time. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated content will be accurate or complete.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special loss, or for loss of profit, data, or opportunity, arising from your use of the service.

This includes loss or damage arising from reliance on a generated itinerary — such as missed connections, closed attractions, changed road or weather conditions, cancelled or unavailable services, or costs incurred in reliance on estimated prices or durations.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD 50.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your misuse of the service, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you retain the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections available to you locally.

We may revise these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date reflects the current version, and continued use of the service after a change means you accept the revised terms.
